Role overview

Mission Sports is hiring a committed Cricket Coach who brings solid on-field experience, a strong command of the sport, and a genuine interest in shaping young players. The role is focused on coaching, team development, match preparation, and supporting players both technically and tactically.

Key responsibilities

  • Run practice sessions for players across different age groups and skill levels.
  • Create tailored development plans that help each player strengthen their abilities.
  • Offer guidance on technique, tactics, and match awareness.
  • Build a training atmosphere that is constructive, encouraging, and disciplined.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise training sessions and matches.
  • Choose and manage teams for different tournaments and competition formats.
  • Keep players motivated and help them perform to their potential.
  • Promote collaboration, discipline, and good sporting conduct within the squad.
  • Design match strategies and adapt game plans to different situations.
  • Review team performance and identify areas that need improvement.
  • Apply fresh and effective coaching methods where appropriate.
  • Spot promising talent and take part in player recruitment.
  • Arrange trials and evaluate player potential through assessments.
  • Maintain records related to attendance and player progress.
  • Prepare match summaries and other required documents.
  • Coordinate with parents and guardians to share updates on player development.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience coaching cricket.
  • Coaching certifications such as Level 1 or Level 2 are expected.
  • Strong understanding of cricket rules, strategy, and playing techniques.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate players.
  • Comfort working independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Strong interest in cricket and a clear focus on player growth.
