Job description
Role overview
Lidl is looking for a Customer Assistant for its Dungarvan store. The role is centred on delivering a positive shopping experience through friendly service, efficient store operations, and strong teamwork. This position is based on a standard 30-hour contract, with earnings from €460+ per week.
Because the role involves selling alcohol, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
The job includes working across different shift patterns and handling a mix of tasks throughout the day in a fast-moving retail environment.
Shift patterns
- Morning shifts: Starts at 5am or 6am. Duties include replenishing stock, preparing bakery items, and getting the shop ready for opening so customers can find fully stocked shelves.
- Middle shifts: Starts in the late morning or early afternoon. Responsibilities include keeping the store clean and well presented, making sure products stay fresh, supporting customers on the shop floor, and working tills to help reduce queues.
- Late shifts: Starts in the afternoon. The focus is on delivering excellent customer service at the tills, restocking missing products, and preparing the store for the following day.
Key duties
- Serve customers in a courteous, approachable, and helpful way.
- Follow procedures that protect stock and reduce loss across the store.
- Keep the shop floor and external areas clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Apply freshness and rotation rules when handling products.
- Ensure waste is sorted and disposed of correctly.
- Support the stock count process.
What the employer is looking for
