Job description
Role overview
This position supports airfreight export shipments by coordinating end-to-end arrangements for customers, including local accounts, overseas agents, and co-loaders. The role combines customer service with practical shipment solutioning, with an emphasis on delivering dependable logistics support and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the process.
Core responsibilities
- Coordinate export airfreight shipments smoothly from booking through to final completion, keeping a close watch on each step.
- Communicate promptly with shippers, overseas agents, co-loaders, commercial teams, export operations staff, airlines, transporters, warehouses, VCC/permit teams, insurance providers, and fumigation contacts by phone, text, and email.
- Organize cargo pickups from shipper locations with transport partners.
- Check and confirm cargo space availability with airlines.
- Reserve and secure airline space for export consignments.
- Review whether net rates and selling rates are commercially workable.
- Coordinate permits, insurance, and fumigation requirements on behalf of shippers.
- Track shipment progress and follow up on DN and POD updates from agents.
- Create jobs and shipment records in CargoWise.
- Assist with cross-trade transactions when needed.
Candidate profile
- A diploma qualification or higher is required.
- Prior experience handling air export customer service work is expected.
- Strong verbal and written communication ability is important.
- Good problem-solving capability is needed for day-to-day shipment issues.
Additional information
This is a customer relations role focused on export airfreight coordination, stakeholder management, and operational follow-through. The position requires regular interaction across internal teams and external partners to ensure shipments are arranged accurately and completed on time.
