Role summary
This is a remote cybersecurity consulting opportunity for a senior infrastructure security engineer supporting an AI-focused organization. The position is intended to strengthen the security foundation behind AI model development and deployment, with an emphasis on protecting sensitive information and enabling secure innovation across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Compensation
The stated annual payout for this position is $250,000 to $350,000.
Key responsibilities
- Build and put in place resilient security architectures for AI-based applications so that data remains protected and systems remain dependable.
- Partner with teams across the organization to help design and release AI models that meet strong security expectations, including governance, zero-trust approaches, and AI-supported defense methods.
- Keep track of AI-related threat patterns, vulnerabilities, and new attack trends, and adapt mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Apply IAM engineering knowledge and infrastructure-as-code practices to control access and authorization for AI models and related data.
- Promote security standards and best practices throughout the company while supporting compliance with relevant regulations and industry requirements.
Required background and qualifications
- Hands-on experience creating and implementing secure infrastructure for large-scale AI solutions.
- Strong knowledge of security governance, zero-trust detection, and AI-enabled defense techniques.
- Advanced IAM engineering capability, including as-code methods for secure access control and authorization.
- Solid understanding of AI-native security risks, vulnerabilities, and current mitigation approaches.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate technical security topics clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex security challenges.
