Role Overview
The Cybersecurity & IT Operation Manager will own the design, deployment, and upkeep of IT controls that protect the reliability, security, and continuity of Cariflex’s systems and business workflows. The position combines cybersecurity operations with internal control oversight, with particular emphasis on SAP and the infrastructure environment that supports manufacturing and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an important part of the IT organization overseeing infrastructure, services, cybersecurity, and end-user computing.
- Build the IT security governance model and keep it aligned with business priorities and the company’s risk tolerance.
- Supervise outsourced infrastructure partners and other service vendors, including contract administration and billing-related coordination.
- Own and drive IT initiatives such as platform upgrades, digital transformation work, property technology rollouts, and infrastructure capability expansion.
- Support ongoing improvement efforts by reviewing system performance and identifying opportunities to strengthen capability.
- Coordinate IT audit activities end-to-end and help deliver solutions that meet internal policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory or compliance expectations.
- Handle core IT operations tasks, including documenting operating procedures and standards, managing patching for systems and networks, monitoring capacity and performance, and supporting IT budget management.
- Lead project execution for technology upgrades, digitalization programs, and new technology implementations.
- Define and enforce IT general controls (ITGC) frameworks and testing processes for the SAP ERP environment and broader infrastructure landscape.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in IT security, compliance, IT operations, or similar functions, ideally in manufacturing or chemical settings.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, SAP, Microsoft Azure, or comparable cloud credentials like AZ-500 will be considered an advantage.
- A solid history of creating and rolling out IT security policies and compliance frameworks.
- Practical exposure to SAP, HRMS platforms, and broader enterprise technology environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, network security controls, endpoint protection, and enterprise patch management.
- Strong analytical ability, troubleshooting skills, and clear communication.
- Capability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage several projects at once.
