Work Context

You will interact regularly with internal team members, including bank and FTS personnel, as well as people outside your immediate department to gather needs, confirm information, discuss data quality concerns, and support reporting requests. Professional judgment, discretion, and tact are important in these conversations.

Key Duties

The main purpose of the position is to analyze data with support, build and maintain reports and dashboards, and follow established procedures to ensure information is accurate, consistent, and ready before it is moved into production environments. You will also keep management updated on task status and participate in conversations around data support.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Development Managers, Business Analysts, Application Analysts, stakeholders, and other teammates to understand reporting and data needs.
  • Create, update, and improve dashboards and reports using tools such as Cognos and Power BI.
  • Pull, check, and evaluate data from multiple structured sources, including SQL Server, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, MS Fabric, and similar platforms.
  • Help document source systems, definitions, formulas, and report logic so reporting remains transparent and easy to maintain.
  • Record the current and intended future reporting workflows.
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness before reports are published.
  • Follow team standards for data access, governance, change control, and deployment into production.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving data mismatches, report defects, and performance problems.
  • Track assigned work against deadlines and share progress, risks, and blockers with the team and management.
  • Contribute positively in a team setting and maintain strong working relationships with internal users.
  • Support company values and comply with policies, procedures, and security requirements, including confidentiality rules for data.

Minimum Qualifications

This is an entry-level role and is expected to be performed under established standards, processes, and supervisory direction, with training and support provided as needed. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will be given greater independence.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related, data-related, or analytical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to learn and work with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Cognos.
  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts, including tables, views, joins, and basic data modeling.
  • Capability to query and analyze data with SQL from platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, MS Fabric, and similar environments.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices.
  • Ability to clearly document data sources, report logic, and business requirements.
  • Troubleshooting ability to start from a data or reporting issue and methodically narrow down possible causes with help.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on data quality.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a team.
  • Good communication skills, a goal-oriented mindset, reliability, initiative, flexibility, confidentiality, and a courteous professional approach.
