About the Role
Lockheed Martin's Sustainment organization is seeking a Data Analyst Level 2 to join their team supporting the F-22 and F-35 programs. This role involves working with large datasets throughout the big data solution lifecycle, from analysis and database design to solution sustainment. You will contribute to Supply Spares Decision Support, focusing on repair and procurement recommendations. The position requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges within F-22 and F-35 sustainment, the importance of automation for big data, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in all phases of big data solutions, including data analysis, profiling, database design, modeling, configuration management, data governance, and integration with enterprise architecture.
- Assist with repair and procurement recommendations for Supply Spares Decision Support.
- Develop interactive dashboards to track and enhance operational performance.
- Analyze extensive datasets to pinpoint trends, identify inefficiencies, and discover optimization opportunities.
- Conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations and propose strategic resolutions.
- Construct and automate data pipelines to streamline reporting and analysis workflows.
- Maintain and improve existing databases and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Perform ad-hoc research to support ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Monitor critical metrics and verify performance against established benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify emerging data trends and suggest proactive measures to mitigate potential performance impacts.
- Engage in customer meetings, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and planning sessions to align technical solutions with program goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to evaluate and plan for spare parts requirements essential for mission readiness.
- Assess changes to maintenance plans for supportability and evaluate spare part compatibility for aircraft deployment.
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to facilitate prompt, informed decision-making by execution teams and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience and education from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience handling large datasets, including system-level extraction, formatting, ingestion/aggregation, and processing.
- Demonstrated statistical knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with programming languages like C++, Python, and SQL for creating data analysis tools and query development.
- Background in a STEM-related field, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
- Knowledge or ability in Root-Cause Corrective-Action (RCCA).
- Previous experience in data analysis and performance investigation within logistics, particularly supply and/or maintenance, is beneficial.
- Experience with data analysis tools and languages such as Python, VBA, SQL, HANA, and/or Tableau.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to make presentations and assertively drive actions to completion.

Eligibility
This position is open to individuals with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience. A background in STEM, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Supply Chain Management is preferred. Prior experience in logistics disciplines, particularly supply and/or maintenance, is a plus. Previous US Military experience in logistics is also considered a benefit. The role requires the ability to work part-time remotely and part-time onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
