Job summary
The Data Entry Operator role focuses on accurately entering information and handling related administrative tasks in a fast-paced office setting.
Supervisory responsibility
This position does not include direct reports or team management responsibilities.
Key duties
- Collect source documents and daily work from the data center.
- Check incoming records, confirm they have been received, and request any missing information.
- Enter assigned information using data entry tools and equipment.
- Address minor data-processing issues and escalate more complex problems to a supervisor or the right team member.
- Protect the privacy of confidential and sensitive information at all times.
- Carry out additional duties as needed.
Skills needed
- Fast and accurate typing and data entry ability.
- Strong written and spoken communication.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar productivity software.
- Good organization and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Comfort working on your own with minimal supervision.
Education and experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in data entry is preferred.
Physical requirements
- This role involves long periods of sitting and computer-based work.
- The employee must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
