Job Summary

Sunrise Systems, Inc. is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for a remote contract position based in California. The primary role involves operating data entry devices like keyboards and computers to input and verify information. This position requires meticulous documentation and effective personal project management, with essential technical skills including strong documentation abilities and time management.

Job Responsibilities

• Input data from source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, and bills into specific fields or onto storage media using keyboards or scanners.
• Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data prior to entry.
• Identify and rectify data entry errors, or escalate them to supervisors for resolution.
• Cross-reference entered data with source documents or utilize verification formats to detect inaccuracies.
• Maintain comprehensive logs of activities and completed tasks.

Skills

• Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Keen attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
• Skill in accurately documenting and recording client information.
• Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to complete a speed and accuracy data entry test if required.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour on a W2 contract. The final starting salary within this range may be influenced by factors such as geographic location, market conditions, acquired skills, educational background, and overall qualifications of the selected candidate.
