Role overview
The Energy Shift is looking for an early-career Data Insights Analyst to join its team in a full-time remote role. This position is suited to recent graduates or junior professionals who enjoy working with data, turning raw information into clear takeaways, and helping teams make better business decisions.
The role focuses on reporting, analysis, and visualization to support performance tracking, strategy, and ongoing improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Gather information from several sources, then clean and analyze it for business use.
- Spot meaningful trends, patterns, and opportunities from the data.
- Create and update reports, dashboards, and visual presentations of data.
- Help monitor KPIs and ongoing performance metrics.
- Assist with checking data accuracy and validation tasks.
- Carry out one-off analyses for different business teams as needed.
- Work with stakeholders to understand what reporting they need.
- Record findings, methods used, and any data handling processes.
- Contribute to improving analytics processes and workflows over time.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
- Strong ability to analyze problems and work through them logically.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, or comparable tools.
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms is an advantage.
- Understanding of reporting, analysis, and data visualization basics.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with others.
- No previous professional experience is needed; fresh graduates are welcome.
