Role Description

This is a remote, part-time, entry-level position at CONSORCIO DE SERVICIOS MINEROS CAJAMARCA S.A.C. focused on supporting data-driven decision-making. The Data Insights Analyst will be responsible for gathering, cleaning, and structuring operational and business data from diverse origins. Key duties include conducting fundamental data analysis, producing regular reports and dashboards, and distilling findings into easily understandable insights for internal stakeholders. The role also entails aiding in the creation of straightforward data models and metrics, maintaining thorough documentation of methodologies, and contributing to the upkeep of data integrity and uniformity. The analyst will work alongside senior team members to grasp data needs, address immediate data inquiries, and actively pursue new tools and methods to enhance analytical and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a proven ability to interpret numerical data and identify trends.
  • A solid grasp of data analytics principles and data modeling, including experience with datasets, basic querying, and generating simple visualizations or dashboards.
  • A fundamental understanding of statistical concepts, such as descriptive statistics, distributions, and correlations, to aid in data interpretation and verification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, enabling clear explanation of data findings to non-technical audiences and effective documentation of processes and outcomes.
  • Comfort using spreadsheet software and data tools like Excel or Google Sheets, coupled with an eagerness to learn analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • The capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting, manage time efficiently, and collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
  • While an academic background in a quantitative field like Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or Computer Science is advantageous, it is not strictly required.
  • A genuine interest in the mining or industrial services sector and a readiness to learn about operational data and business workflows are desirable.
