Job description

About the Role

This opportunity is for quantitative professionals who want to contribute to the training of AI models. The work involves assessing AI-produced quantitative analyses, working through technical problem-solving tasks, and giving feedback that helps improve how these systems reason about data, models, and scientific questions.

Applicants from a wide range of quantitative backgrounds can fit this role, including data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, and similar fields. The role can suit people who want to do this alongside another full-time job as well as those looking to focus on it as their main work.

How the Process Works

After creating an account, candidates complete a short assessment that acts as the selection step. Those who pass receive confirmation by email, and paid assignments are then made available through the platform.

What the Work Involves

  • Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical analysis, predictive modelling, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
  • Build and solve quantitative tasks used to train and evaluate AI systems across forecasting, experimental analysis, optimisation, and statistical inference.
  • Produce concise technical explanations and clean, well-organised analytical code.
  • Share feedback that influences how future AI models handle quantitative reasoning.

Benefits of Contracting

  • Select the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
  • Work independently on your own computer from home.
  • Hourly compensation starts at USD 50-100+, with bonus pay available on certain projects.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a closely related area.
  • Some programming ability and comfort with writing as well as reviewing analytical code from start to finish.
  • Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
  • Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus excellent written communication.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar subject; a master's degree or PhD is an added advantage.
  • Additional proof of expertise is welcome, such as a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS/GCP ML certifications, or comparable credentials.

Payment and Contract Details

Payment is made through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. This is an independent contractor arrangement, and no payment or fee will ever be requested from applicants.
