Job description
About the role
Jobright is a fast-scaling AI job search platform based in the U.S. that is reshaping how candidates find jobs through advanced technology. The team is hiring an early-career Data Scientist to help build predictive models, improve AI system performance, and study user behavior to strengthen the product.
Why join
- Contribute to production AI agents that are actively used by real users.
- Take ownership of meaningful work with visible impact.
- Work at the crossroads of AI, agent systems, and product development.
- Help define the user experience for AI-powered job search.
Responsibilities
- Create and launch predictive models and machine learning systems that form the core decision-making layer of production AI agents.
- Test, refine, and improve LLM prompts, fine-tuning approaches, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows to raise agent quality and consistency.
- Analyze user interaction data in depth to uncover trends and insights that guide product enhancements and new feature ideas.
- Track model behavior and support technical troubleshooting during key product iteration and release cycles.
Qualifications
Applicants should be recent graduates or entry-level professionals with 0–2 years of experience and a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline. The role calls for strong Python programming ability, familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn, and a working understanding of LLMs, prompt design, and evaluation of generative AI outputs. Strong communication skills are also needed to explain technical methods and model results clearly to non-specialists.
Preferred background
Experience from internships or research involving NLP, autonomous agents, or recommendation systems is an advantage. Candidates who have built or maintained data pipelines, worked with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and used SQL for data extraction and feature engineering will be especially well suited.
