Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled DB2 Database Administrator to provide support for business-critical applications and databases across development, UAT, and production settings in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze SQL statements and improve them for better performance and scalability.
- Investigate and resolve database-related incidents, SQL failures, and slow-running areas.
- Assist with database rollouts, migrations, and production releases.
- Carry out database performance tuning, refresh statistics, and maintain tablespaces.
- Work closely with application teams to support sound database design and operational practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA.
- Good command of SQL tuning and performance improvement methods.
- Background in supporting enterprise application databases.
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and migration procedures.
- Exposure to JCL, VSAM, and Mainframe DB2 is strongly preferred.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
