Role overview

As a Deli Clerk at Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods in Bedford, Nova Scotia, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment. The role is focused on upholding the store’s presentation standards, supporting customer experience, and assisting with day-to-day store needs.

Key duties

  • Keep the store, including both staff and customer areas, clean and well maintained.
  • Follow the scheduled cleaning plan and complete light to moderate cleaning tasks.
  • Represent the brand on the sales floor and interact with customers in a helpful, friendly manner.
  • Support other departments when needed.
  • Collect and return carts and baskets from the parking lot and mall areas.

Requirements

  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine focus on service.
  • Interest in food and openness to learning new skills.
  • Strong eye for detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks.
  • Capacity to work independently with little supervision.
  • Physical stamina for active duties, including lifting items of up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous cleaning experience is considered an advantage.

Additional information

This position requires someone who can help maintain high store standards while also serving as a visible and approachable point of contact for customers. The work may involve regular movement between the sales floor, staff spaces, and exterior collection areas.
