Qualifications

Candidates should be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of two years of driving history. A valid driver’s license is required, along with a steady employment record. Applicants must be able to satisfy company screening standards related to MVR, DOT, CSA, and/or criminal background checks.

Experience transporting food or beverages is considered an advantage. The job also calls for the ability to lift 20 lbs regularly and to handle driving in tight spaces and heavy traffic safely.

Driving history requirements

  • Applicants who are 18 years old must be able to show at least two years of driving history immediately before the MVR review date.
  • Applicants who are 19 years old must be able to show at least one year of driving history immediately before the MVR review date.
  • A learner’s permit period can only be counted if it is officially documented by the relevant government authority; an officially issued license is required.

Driving record standards

  • No more than two driving-related violations in the two years before the MVR review date.
  • No more than three driving-related violations in the three years before the MVR review date.
  • No more than one at-fault accident in the three years before the MVR review date.
  • Drivers with a history of leaving the scene of an accident, hit and run, reckless driving, drug- or alcohol-related driving violations, vehicular homicide or assault, unlawful racing/exhibition driving, or eluding/attempting to elude an officer are not eligible to drive.
