Domino’s is expanding its team in Medina, TN and is hiring delivery experts. The role offers immediate hiring, flexible scheduling, and the choice of short or long shifts. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available.
Drivers in this role typically earn more than $20 per hour when wage, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday.
Role details
You may use your own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement that helps cover fuel and other vehicle-related expenses, or you may use a company-provided vehicle for deliveries. To use the company vehicle, you must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving history, and have at least 2 years of driving experience.
The store uses modern technology to help make deliveries safer and faster, which can improve efficiency and earning potential. Drivers can also choose schedules that fit their personal availability.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver Domino’s products safely and efficiently within the assigned delivery area.
- Use safe driving practices at all times while completing several deliveries during a shift.
- Carry food and beverages between the store, the vehicle, and customer locations.
- Navigate addresses accurately using maps or navigation skills.
- Provide courteous, high-quality customer service during every delivery.
- Work independently and also cooperate with the team when needed.
- Follow operational directions, quality standards, and store procedures.
- Handle repetitive tasks and remain effective under pressure.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, subject to motor vehicle record review.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance if using a personal vehicle.
- Must be able to read maps, follow directions, and locate delivery addresses accurately.
- Must be able to work in varied and sometimes difficult weather and terrain conditions.
- Must be capable of climbing stairs, including more than 5 flights when required.
- Must be comfortable with physical duties such as walking, bending, reaching, carrying, and driving.
- Must be able to use good judgment, compile and analyze information, and make decisions.
- Must be able to work alone, work well with others, and handle stress effectively.
Working conditions
- Exposure to changing and sometimes harsh weather while delivering or distributing flyers and door hangers.
- Temperature shifts between indoor and outdoor work areas, with in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler up to 90 degrees or more in some areas.
- Exposure to food odors, fumes, and cornmeal dust.
- Work may involve compact spaces, including walk-in coolers.
- Hot equipment and tools, including ovens that can reach 500 degrees or more.
- Presence of sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical duties
- Walking, carrying, and climbing between the store, vehicle, and customer locations.
- Driving within the delivery zone and handling multiple deliveries per shift.
- Bending at the waist and performing repetitive assembly tasks for short intervals throughout the day.
- Reaching in all directions, including above shoulder height for equipment and supplies.
- Using hands continuously for dough preparation, boxing, cutting, and other kitchen tasks.
- Having the vision and hearing needed for store tasks and safe driving, including depth perception and night vision.
