Role overview

The Demand & Supply Planner (CIC) will own demand forecasting and the planning of production and distribution across the CIC network. The role is accountable for balancing service levels, inventory goals, capacity limits, and total delivered cost targets.

You will use the best available inputs to maintain production, capacity, inventory settings, and planning policies by SKU and location in the planning system. The role requires sound commercial judgement and close collaboration across functions to create reliable plans that support manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, transportation, and broader business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to build accurate demand forecasts and supply plans covering inventory, production, capacity, and distribution. Maintain the latest MRP within the planning tool.
• Raise monthly purchase requisitions, consolidate container load release purchase orders, and circulate forecasts to CIC and external suppliers. Manage launch, phase-in, phase-out, and discontinuation plans for promotional activity, new product introductions, and product exits while keeping inventory master data current and correct.
• Support delivery of MTO, NPD, and other strategic projects that fall within planning objectives. Assess sales and marketing opportunities for capacity needs and production feasibility, then communicate constraints and help drive resolution.
• Prepare concise summaries for monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings, focusing on clear business messaging, exceptions, and practical alternatives.
• Monitor monthly performance against key metrics including forecast accuracy, case fill rate, FDOS, inventory targets, slobs, and OOS lost opportunities.
• Review planning capability and recommend improvements to systems and/or processes.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in demand forecasting and supply planning is preferred.
• A degree in supply chain management is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and solid analytical ability.
• Working knowledge of the S&OP process.
• Experience with forecasting software, with Kinaxis preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Power BI.
• Ability to work effectively across functions to achieve team objectives.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong facilitation and problem-resolution skills with the ability to build consensus.
• Self-directed, process-oriented, and capable of managing priorities independently.
• Ability to stay focused on objectives and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
