Role overview
Dalata Hotel Group is looking for a Demi Chef to join its kitchen team in Galway. This position sits within a supportive hospitality environment where learning, progression, and internal growth are strongly encouraged. You will work alongside senior chefs and benefit from structured development through Dalata Academy programmes and training tools.
What you will do
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Take guidance from managers and help maintain high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.
- Work in line with the example set by the Head Chef, maintaining strong standards of speed and consistency.
- Follow HACCP rules and food safety procedures at all times.
- Help the wider kitchen team maintain clean and safe practices for food preparation and storage.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a hotel kitchen or a similar culinary position.
- Strong enthusiasm for food and a genuine interest in the culinary field.
- A collaborative attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Comfort working under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good understanding of HACCP requirements and procedures.
