Role overview
Sekisui House Australia is looking for a skilled Design Draftsperson to join the Sydney residential design team and support SHAWOOD, the brand’s premium architectural offering. The role focuses on producing precise coordinated drawings, polished 3D visuals, and presentation-ready documentation that elevate concept ideas into buildable, compliant outputs.
What you will do
- Develop accurate, high-quality drawings through each design phase, starting from concept and continuing through DA and CDC submission packages.
- Read and apply NSW planning rules, including Council DCPs, LEPs, and relevant CDC provisions.
- Create advanced CGI visuals, walkthroughs, and presentation assets for design communication.
- Work with internal teams, consultants, and outside service providers to help progress approvals.
- Make sure all documentation aligns with company expectations and regulatory obligations.
About you
The ideal candidate is a technically strong draftsperson who also appreciates refined, people-focused architecture. You should be comfortable balancing accuracy, presentation quality, and compliance requirements across residential projects.
Selection criteria
- Advanced capability in ArchiCAD, plus practical familiarity with 3D and CGI visualization tools.
- Solid experience in residential drafting and preparing CAD documentation.
- Good knowledge of NSW council approval processes, complying development rules, and building regulations.
- Tertiary study in Architecture or Building Design.
- Excellent time management, strong CGI delivery, and confident presentation skills.
