Role Overview

This consultancy position is for an experienced Design Manager to oversee design delivery on Bus Connects projects. The role involves managing the complete design workflow and acting as a central point of contact for the client.

The position calls for a Chartered Engineer with more than 8 years of relevant experience, strong capability in infrastructure delivery, and a solid track record in coordinating design work, leading teams, and engaging stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the design and delivery process for Bus Connects projects.
  • Act as the main contact for the client and other important stakeholders.
  • Make sure work is delivered in line with scope, timeline, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to encourage strong cooperation and high performance.
  • Oversee contributions from specialist sub-consultants.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or another recognised professional institution.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, roads, or transport infrastructure.
  • Proven background in managing complex infrastructure assignments and coordinating multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
