Role Overview

This position focuses on developing structural packaging and display samples that support sales efforts within the Converting Division. The role is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, at 2000 Bevelery Ave SW, 49519. It is a full-time position within Pratt - Bell Packaging Inc., and the reference ID is 70-23149.

What You Will Do

• Handle packaging and display assignments from the Creative Director, General Manager, or Sales team, and bring design concepts to life using Artios, Creative Suite, and a 3D rendering application as required by the project.
• Create samples using a CAD table or by hand-cutting samples when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and organized specification files.
• Deliver projects on schedule, with the possibility of overtime when workloads require it.
• Prepare manufacturing specifications based on prototype samples.
• Follow all company rules and procedures, including safety standards and proper housekeeping practices.
• Take on additional learning-focused duties and projects as assigned by the director or associate director.

Education and Experience

• Applicants should currently be studying in college or have substantial coursework in computers, CAD, or drafting, or bring relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills are needed for working with customers and sales representatives.

Mathematical and Reasoning Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure quickly and accurately.
• Should be comfortable calculating percentages, measurements, volume, and rates.
• Should understand and apply high school-level math concepts.
• Must be able to follow written, spoken, or visual instructions using practical judgment.
• Should be able to solve problems involving defined variables in standard situations.
