Role overview
This position is with a fast-growing FinTech company in Manchester that is investing heavily in its brand, customer experience, and wider design capability. The Designer will join the Growth team and help shape how the business is presented across digital products, marketing activity, partnership materials, and customer communications.
The role is centered on improving every customer interaction by making experiences visually strong, consistent, and aligned with the brand. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Commercial teams to create design solutions that can scale as the business grows, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
The company also uses AI as part of its everyday work, so this role includes the opportunity to apply modern tools and workflows to speed up creative output, improve efficiency, and support faster delivery.
Working arrangement
The position is based in Manchester and follows a hybrid setup with 3 days on site and 2 days working remotely.
Compensation and employment
This is a permanent full-time role with a salary of £50,000 per year, plus bonus.
What you'll do
- Produce polished visual creative assets for digital, marketing, and customer-facing channels.
- Maintain a consistent brand look and feel across communications and customer experiences.
- Develop and refine reusable design components, templates, and asset libraries.
- Contribute to the growth and maintenance of a scalable design system.
- Use AI-based tools to improve production speed, content creation, and creative workflows.
- Work with teams across Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Commercial on new projects and initiatives.
- Promote customer-led design thinking and high standards of best practice across the business.
Experience and background
- Demonstrated success creating strong visual and digital design work across different channels.
- Good understanding of branding, visual communication, and customer experience principles.
- Hands-on experience with design systems and reusable component libraries, or a strong contribution to them.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools to make design work more efficient and productive.
- Able to juggle several projects and shifting priorities in a busy environment.
- Excellent eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong communication abilities and confidence working with stakeholders.
