Role Overview

This position sits within the Design department in Cambridge, Ontario. What You’ll Do

  • Handle incoming design requests, respond to feedback, and produce polished artwork using both traditional art techniques and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
  • Take part in planning and early-stage development for new design work.
  • Support the Industrial Design team by preparing samples and organizing design archives.
  • Develop design ideas and present them clearly to Design, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Turn creative concepts into practical design outcomes that match the industrial team’s project goals.
  • Work across several projects at the same time.
  • Adapt quickly when priorities change or new information becomes available.
  • Assist marketing with assets for both new and existing designs, including sample books, mock-ups, brochure visuals, video content, and social media graphics.

Experience and Education

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Design, Visual Arts, or Media Arts is required, along with more than three years of experience in a design studio or a similar environment.

Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, is essential. Candidates should also be highly creative and comfortable using artistic methods such as painting, sketching, and drawing. Experience producing artwork for print production methods such as gravure, flexo, screen printing, or intaglio is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Conditions

This role is generally based in office, plant, and lab settings, though the organization’s work may occasionally require time in non-standard locations. The schedule is usually a standard workweek, but evening, weekend, and extra hours may be needed to support business needs and shifting priorities. This position does not qualify for overtime pay.

Domestic and international travel may be required, so a valid driver’s licence is necessary. The job typically involves low physical demands.
