Detailer (Flat Rate)

Role Overview

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is hiring detail shop staff for a flat-rate position in Perry, GA. This role is best suited to someone who works well in a busy environment, puts customer service first, and enjoys hands-on vehicle care.

Available Levels

• Detail Specialist 1: candidates with some prior experience.
• Detail Specialist 2: candidates with more than 2 years of experience.

You will help keep the store and service area operating at a high standard while ensuring every customer receives prompt, courteous support and quality work. The job includes driving vehicles, cleaning them thoroughly, and completing detailing tasks to restore and protect vehicle appearance.

Detailed Job Duties

Day-to-day work may include washing vehicle exteriors with a variety of cleaning products, waxing and buffing surfaces, vacuuming interiors, cleaning upholstery, drying surfaces with air tools and cloths, and applying protective treatments to guard against stains and wear. You may also be asked to use dyes, paints, waxes, or other products to care for leather and fabric surfaces, and to clean grease from engines or engine compartments. Additional tasks may be assigned as business needs change.

Working Conditions

• This is a physically active role that involves frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and repeated entry and exit from vehicles during a shift.
• Work may take place outdoors and in changing weather conditions.
• You will move and handle multiple vehicles throughout the day.
• Approved, OSHA-compliant products such as window cleaner, tar remover, and tire shine are used regularly.
• The job requires repeated use of the spine, hands, wrists, and fingers.
• You may occasionally need to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• You must be able to receive spoken instructions clearly and maintain attention to detail.
• Good vision and hearing are important for this work.
• You should be able to spot small flaws such as streaks, smudges, missed vacuum areas, and other finish issues.
• You are expected to inspect your own work as well as review the work of teammates when needed.
• A fast pace and sense of urgency are important because customer time matters.
• Uniform and grooming standards must be followed carefully.

This is a flat-rate position.

• You must be able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Availability for Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays may be needed to meet production demands.
