Job description

Role overview

Marina Bay Sands is looking for a Digital Marketing Analytics intern to support social media reporting and help improve the way analytics work is documented, automated, and shared. This role offers practical exposure to campaign tracking, performance analysis, social listening, and stakeholder reporting.

The internship is a strong fit for someone who wants to learn how social media performance is measured, how insights are translated for business teams, and how reporting systems can be made more efficient and scalable.

Social media reporting and insights

  • Assist the Social Media team with regular reporting, including competitor reviews and benchmarking exercises.
  • Build knowledge of key social media KPIs such as reach, impressions, engagement, engagement rate, and click-through rate, including how each metric is calculated and reported.
  • Track conversations through social listening to identify trends, sentiment shifts, volume patterns, and engagement opportunities.
  • Turn analysis into clear, visually appealing updates that can be understood by marketing stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Offer practical recommendations that explain not only what happened, but why it happened and what action should follow.

Reporting automation and process improvement

  • Examine recurring social media and analytics reports to spot repeated work and areas where the process can be improved.
  • Combine scattered reports into reusable templates that save time and improve consistency.
  • Record and harmonize metric definitions, logic, and reporting standards used across teams.
  • Help refine dashboards and output formats, including logic, layout, and filters.
  • Support the creation of internal SOPs, naming standards, and governance documents.
  • Contribute simple and practical ideas that make reporting workflows and data delivery more efficient.

Social media tools and paid social exposure

  • Assist with campaign tracking and performance reporting for social media initiatives.
  • Support monitoring of paid social campaign results and help prepare summary reports.
  • Check that automated and recurring reports from social media tools remain relevant to stakeholder needs.

Education and experience

  • Applicants should currently be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
  • No prior experience is needed, as training will be provided.

Additional requirements

  • Some familiarity with social media metrics and curiosity about performance measurement are important.
  • Exposure to Python, R, Power BI, or SQL would be an advantage.
  • Prior experience using reporting, dashboarding, or analytics tools such as Power BI is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical reasoning is needed to interpret data and turn it into useful insights.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills are required to present findings clearly.
  • A structured, detail-focused approach is needed, especially when documenting logic, workflows, and definitions.
  • Applicants should be proactive, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative.

Company commitment

Marina Bay Sands is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and provides equal opportunities as it grows its talent base in Singapore. Employees are expected to follow all company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct and business ethics.
