Job description
The opportunity
Towsleys Inc is seeking an energetic, practical Director of Human Resources to take charge of people operations during a period of rapid expansion across multiple business lines and locations. This position is highly execution-focused and calls for someone who can lead with initiative, bring order to complexity, and help shape the HR function as the company grows.
In this role, you will own the full talent acquisition process across business units, supervise a lean HR team, and act as the main HR advisor to senior leaders. You will also have a meaningful hand in building the organization’s future HR roadmap, including workforce planning, performance structures, culture, and employee growth.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in motion, is comfortable with modern HR technology and AI-enabled practices, and can create structure in an environment with evolving priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end hiring across all business units and geographies, while keeping several active recruitment pipelines moving at once.
- Lead, coach, and coordinate the HR team across locations, with a focus on priorities, accountability, and professional growth.
- Act as the chief HR contact for General Managers and senior leadership.
- Work with outside recruitment agencies for senior-level and difficult-to-fill vacancies.
- Maintain clear visibility into recruiting progress and metrics so leadership always has up-to-date information on open roles.
- Use HR systems, applicant tracking tools, and AI-enabled solutions to strengthen hiring efficiency, candidate experience, and overall HR operations.
- Handle everyday HR processes such as onboarding, offer coordination, compliance, and policy administration.
- Lead the workforce planning and talent review process, which is a major strategic priority for the organization.
- Help define the broader HR strategy, including performance management, engagement, culture, and employee development.
What the company is looking for
- At least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3 or more years in a director-level or senior manager position.
- Strong comfort with technology, including AI tools, modern ATS platforms, and data-led HR methods.
- Demonstrated success in high-volume hiring across multiple sites or regions.
- Background in leading HR teams and partnering closely with business unit leadership.
- Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on HR environment while still thinking strategically about future needs.
- Comfort with fast-moving conditions and shifting priorities.
- International hiring experience is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational ability to balance many pipelines, stakeholders, and competing deadlines.
- A proactive, builder-oriented mindset with the ability to identify gaps and address them independently.
What’s offered
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and the chance to influence the direction of the HR function.
- A capable existing team, meaning the function is already in place and does not need to be built from zero.
- Room for the role to expand as the business grows and strategic priorities return to center stage.
- A modern, technology-enabled HR setting that supports innovative tools and approaches.
- Compensation that is competitive and aligned with experience.
