The director will ensure that infrastructure, support services, and day-to-day technology operations remain dependable, secure, and ready to scale. The role combines service delivery leadership, operational governance, cybersecurity execution, and ongoing modernization work while keeping business continuity and stability front and center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide service desk and end-user support functions so that response quality, user satisfaction, and service performance continue to improve.
  • Oversee daily IT operations across systems administration, networks, cloud environments, identity and endpoint platforms, collaboration tools, and telephony.
  • Drive modernization programs such as cloud transition work, network improvements, and upgrades to operational tools and processes.
  • Lead the operational side of cybersecurity, including endpoint protection, monitoring, access controls, vulnerability handling, and incident response.
  • Manage a cross-functional team as well as external vendors, managed service providers, and other partners to deliver efficient and dependable service.
  • Define, track, and strengthen operational reporting, metrics, governance, and process maturity.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and strategic partners to align priorities and execution.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure, IT operations, end-user services, or leadership roles in operational technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of people-management experience in support, infrastructure, or operations teams.
  • Background in running distributed operations across multiple locations or sites.
  • Deep understanding of operational cybersecurity and technology risk management.
  • Demonstrated success in modernizing infrastructure or operations and managing vendors effectively.
  • Strong capability in leadership, organization, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing, scaling business environment.

Success Metrics

  • Within the first 90 days, establish visibility into operations, evaluate current maturity, and identify priority improvement areas.
  • By 6 months, improve discipline, service quality, governance, and cybersecurity practices.
  • By 12 months, create a stable and scalable operational base while advancing modernization without compromising continuity.

Additional Information

This is a contract opportunity based onsite in the United States. The role requires balancing operational rigor with modernization, cost control, and service quality.
