The company empowers leading organizations worldwide to achieve net-zero emissions and shape the future of sustainability.

About the Role

The Director of Marketing Operations serves as a strategic and operational partner to the VP of Marketing. This role is crucial for driving planning rigor, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment within the marketing department. The primary objective is to ensure marketing strategies are effectively translated into measurable execution through robust performance management, data-driven insights, and operational discipline, ultimately ensuring initiatives deliver significant impact. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and operational capabilities, with a proven ability to collaborate across marketing and sales functions to optimize performance and achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning processes, including the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prioritization of initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain marketing performance frameworks, dashboards, and reporting schedules.
  • Analyze campaign, funnel, and pipeline performance to generate actionable insights for improvement.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring adherence, tracking expenditures, forecasting, and conducting Return on Investment (ROI) analyses.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for performance measurement, attribution modeling, and reporting.
  • Identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities through in-depth analysis of marketing data.
  • Enhance workflows, operating cadences, and data quality to support large-scale decision-making.
  • Integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to boost marketing efficiency.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives involving marketing, sales, and product teams.
  • Collaborate closely with sales operations to ensure alignment on funnel definitions, metrics, and handoff processes.
  • Ensure go-to-market plans are supported by clear metrics, timelines, and defined accountability.
  • Act as a central coordinator for complex, high-impact programs.
  • Prepare performance reports, insights, and presentation materials for executive meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Communicate complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership with data-backed recommendations and decision support.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing analytics, strategy, or business operations, with a preference for experience in field marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, KPI management, and performance reporting.
  • A solid understanding of B2B marketing principles, go-to-market strategies, and revenue alignment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort in handling data and ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders across different functions, even without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

What Success Looks Like

  • Marketing performance is consistently and clearly measured, understood, and directly linked to business impact.
  • Leadership maintains continuous visibility into results, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Strategic decisions are consistently informed by data-driven insights rather than intuition.
  • The marketing organization operates with enhanced efficiency, focus, and overall impact.
