Job description

Role Overview

This is a six-month fixed-term leadership opportunity for a PR and communications professional based in Germany. The role covers Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and is centered on building and protecting reputation while driving high-impact storytelling for major international campaigns and initiatives.

You will combine strategic communication planning with active media engagement, campaign delivery, and senior-level stakeholder coordination. The position involves working across regions and time zones with internal teams and external agencies in a high-visibility, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver public relations and communications plans across EMEA, making sure they support global priorities and campaign goals.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong media relationships with leading journalists across news, entertainment, policy, business, and lifestyle coverage.
  • Develop story angles and pitch narratives that highlight organisational impact, campaigns, and executive thought leadership.
  • Lead PR execution for large campaigns, events, partnerships, and special projects spanning multiple international markets.
  • Direct outside PR agencies across regions so messaging stays aligned and results remain consistent.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in marketing, policy, partnerships, and executive leadership to coordinate communication efforts.
  • Handle planning and on-the-ground coordination for press events, interviews, briefings, and other media-facing activities.

Experience and Requirements

  • Bring 5 to 8+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or media, ideally gained in global campaigns, entertainment, politics, or advocacy settings.
  • Maintain a strong network of media contacts across respected EMEA outlets in news, entertainment, business, and policy.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and speaking, with the ability to simplify complex subjects into compelling messages.
  • Have a track record of delivering large-scale PR campaigns, press events, and media activations in international environments.
  • Stay highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities in demanding, fast-paced conditions.
  • Work effectively across cultures, time zones, and senior stakeholder groups.
  • Combine strategic thinking with a practical, detail-oriented approach to execution.

Benefits

  • Monthly compensation of £5,500.
  • Chance to lead prominent global campaigns with meaningful real-world impact.
  • Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional international teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute in a mission-led organisation focused on large-scale social impact.
  • Responsibility for international media strategy and major global events.
  • Inclusive, flexible culture that supports autonomy and ownership.
