Role overviewThis role is responsible for leading analytics across marketplaces and quick commerce channels from Ahmedabad, reporting to the Head of E-Commerce. The position is focused on strengthening revenue, profitability, and competitive positioning through robust data analysis, structured insights, and scalable reporting systems.Key ownership areasThe manager will establish the analytics framework for marketplace and q-commerce performance, create reliable reporting structures, and turn data into practical actions that support day-to-day and strategic business decisions.Business intelligenceCreate a consistent, unified source of truth for marketplace and quick commerce performance metrics.Monitor GMV, CVR, AOV, ROAS, contribution margin, and inventory health.Translate data into clear recommendations that can influence daily decision-making.Data pipeline and analytics frameworkDevelop and scale an end-to-end analytics pipeline covering platform data, advertising data, inventory, and pricing inputs.Automate dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.Set standard definitions, metric logic, and reporting schedules.Support real-time or near real-time business decisions through better data availability.Marketplace and quick commerce performanceAnalyze performance across Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.Identify growth opportunities at SKU, category, and platform level.Track visibility indicators such as search rank, share of shelf, CTR, and conversion.Category landscape and white space analysisStudy category movements, unmet demand, and competitor benchmarks.Compare assortments against competitors to spot untapped opportunities.Recommend expansion ideas such as new SKUs, bundles, pack sizes, and price tiers.Pricing and promotion analyticsSupport pricing strategy using elasticity-based analysis.Assess how discounts affect volume, revenue, and margin.Refine platform-specific pricing and promotional plans.Contribute to decisions on sale events, deals, and visibility spends.Ads and growth analyticsTrack performance for Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, and similar platforms.Improve ROAS through insights on bidding, keywords, and spend allocation.Connect ad spend to incrementality and contribution margin outcomes.Inventory and supply analyticsOptimize stock distribution across sales platforms.Monitor sell-through, stock cover, and availability levels.Reduce missed sales caused by stockouts or supply inefficiencies.Success measuresSuccess in this role will be reflected in clear visibility into growth drivers and leakage points, measurable improvement in ROAS, CVR, and contribution margins, faster data-led decisions through a stronger analytics pipeline, identification of new revenue opportunities through white-space analysis, and a scalable analytics foundation that supports broader business growth.Ideal backgroundThe preferred candidate brings 4 to 8 years of experience in e-commerce analytics, marketplace analytics, or growth analytics, along with strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Excel, and BI tools. Practical exposure to Amazon, Flipkart, or quick commerce ecosystems is important, as is a solid grasp of pricing, promotions, and marketplace operating dynamics. The person should be able to convert data findings into clear business actions.
