Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Educational Consultant based in Singapore. The primary focus of this role is to provide expert guidance to students and their families regarding international educational pathways. This includes advising on the selection of schools and universities, developing effective application strategies, and planning for standardized testing. Key responsibilities involve conducting personalized one-on-one consultations, evaluating students' academic profiles, and formulating tailored educational roadmaps. The consultant will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation and review of application documents, guiding students through essay writing and interview preparation, and meticulously managing timelines to meet diverse global admission deadlines. Collaboration with internal departments, diligent record-keeping, and delivering exceptional ongoing customer support are essential to ensure a high-quality and transparent advisory experience.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of educational consulting principles and the education sector, with prior experience in supporting international or higher education pathways. Essential consulting skills include the ability to conduct needs assessments, design effective solutions, and provide data-driven recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for engaging with a diverse clientele. A strong customer service orientation, emphasizing responsiveness, empathy, and fostering long-term relationships, is highly valued. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations, or a closely related field is required. While not mandatory, familiarity with international curricula such as IB, A-Levels, and AP, along with global university admission procedures, is a significant advantage. The role demands robust organizational and time-management capabilities to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently. Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, documentation, and virtual meetings is expected. Professional fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in additional languages would be beneficial.
