Role overview
ENGIE South East Asia is hiring an EHS Officer to support workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance at its Jurong East site in Singapore. This role focuses on ensuring statutory obligations are met, strengthening site-level EHS practices, and helping maintain a safe and compliant operating environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide guidance on legal responsibilities under the WSH Act and help ensure full compliance.
- Carry out risk assessments and aspect-impact reviews, then put appropriate controls in place.
- Keep EHS management system records current and make sure required standards are followed.
- Track EHS performance, prepare reports, and take part in incident investigations.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including planning and drills.
- Perform EHS audits and share practical recommendations for improvement.
- Assess contractors and suppliers against EHS compliance requirements.
- Plan and deliver EHS training and awareness sessions for site personnel.
- Handle additional EHS-related tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of EHS experience, ideally in Facilities Management or healthcare.
- Must be a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
- Good understanding of the WSH Act and relevant environmental rules and regulations.
- Ability to coordinate and conduct EHS training programs.
- Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification is preferred.
- Self-driven, dependable, and comfortable working under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a solid commitment to safety.
- Willing to work a 5.5-day work week.
