Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position is based in Doha, Qatar. The electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Work will be carried out according to technical drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.
What You Will Do
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment.
- Read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
- Inspect electrical parts and identify possible hazards, faults, or defects.
- Diagnose issues and perform troubleshooting using appropriate testing tools and methods.
- Complete wiring work, conduit installation, panel terminations, and system testing.
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed to restore proper electrical function.
- Record completed work and coordinate with supervisors and other trades on site.
- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of electrical principles and safe working practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Practical experience with installation, wiring, and connection of electrical systems and components.
- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including inspection and preventive upkeep.
- Good troubleshooting ability with the use of testing instruments and systematic problem-solving.
- Technical or vocational education in electrical trades or electrical engineering concepts is preferred.
- Valid electrician certification, license, or equivalent qualification as required in Qatar.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and onsite best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with sound communication and time management skills.
- Physical capability to handle manual tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in varied site conditions.
- Prior experience in Doha or the Middle East, along with familiarity with local regulations, is an advantage.
