About the Role

The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is seeking a skilled Electrician to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of its properties and facilities. This position is crucial for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring strict adherence to all safety standards and regulations. The Electrician will work under the guidance of the Lead Maintenance, actively participating in both planned and reactive maintenance tasks throughout RSSB's various locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installations and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on generators and circuit breakers.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to support overall facility upkeep.

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma (A1) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or an A2 qualification coupled with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience specifically in electrical maintenance or installation is required.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Additional Information

Candidates with supplementary skills in plumbing or carpentry, as well as relevant professional certifications, will be viewed favorably. The role demands strong technical expertise in electrical systems, alongside essential behavioral attributes including integrity, effective teamwork, clear communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a high degree of professionalism.
