Role overview
Honeywell is looking for an Estimator II to help build accurate, competitive project estimates. The role supports bid preparation, cost analysis, and risk review so the business can improve project wins and profitability.
You will work with cross-functional teams to collect project details, assess plans and drawings, and contribute to estimate development for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
What you will do
- Assist in preparing project estimates with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.
- Work with teams across functions to collect requirements and convert them into cost inputs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand scope and spot risks early.
- Build detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Check vendor and subcontractor quotations for both competitiveness and correctness.
- Support senior estimators and estimating leaders in day-to-day estimating activities.
- Keep track of market movements, industry practices, and newer estimating tools or methods.
What Honeywell is looking for
- 0+ years of estimating experience.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost components.
- Comfort using estimating software and related tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Capability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good organization and time management skills.
