Job Overview

We are looking for an Estimator to join our Sales team at our London, Ontario office. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role is crucial in supporting the sales department by conducting precise takeoffs, pricing, and quote preparation, while also coordinating with manufacturers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents, specifications, and mechanical construction drawings.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for HVAC components.
• Verify that O'Dell products align with project specifications to ensure bid validity.
• Compile detailed bills of materials for equipment.
• Prepare and submit timely pricing for all ventilation products for sales team review.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to secure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Generate quotations using the internal ERP system, NetSuite.
• Prepare submittal packages for ventilation equipment on successful bids.
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding project status.
• Collaborate effectively with sales, internal departments, and external vendors to build strong working relationships.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

• A post-secondary diploma in Mechanical Technology or Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction or HVAC estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; prior experience with an ERP system is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
• Possession of a valid passport and driver's license for travel within Canada and the USA for manufacturer training.
