Job description
About the Role
This position leads the end-to-end growth and delivery of the organization’s events and exhibitions arm. It brings together event execution, client development, commercial strategy, and day-to-day operational leadership to support strong revenue performance and reliable project delivery.
The appointed manager will be expected to add business value by winning new accounts, forming strategic alliances, spotting market opportunities, and strengthening the company’s footprint across exhibitions, conferences, corporate events, activations, and related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and implement the division’s business plan, growth roadmap, and yearly targets.
- Source and win new clients, exhibition assignments, event opportunities, conference work, and corporate contracts.
- Develop trusted relationships with corporate customers, public sector bodies, event organizers, exhibitors, sponsors, and partner organizations.
- Oversee event and exhibition work from initial concept through budgeting, planning, execution, and final delivery.
- Draft technical and commercial proposals, client presentations, pricing quotations, and tender documents.
- Coordinate event operations, logistics, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
- Support business expansion and profitability through strategic partnerships and new commercial opportunities.
- Track budgets, schedules, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction across projects.
- Create fresh event ideas and solutions that improve client value and help the business stand out in the market.
- Guide, motivate, and develop strong project and operations teams.
- Share business updates, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations with senior leadership.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a closely related discipline.
- 7–10 years of professional experience in events, exhibitions, conferences, activations, or similar sectors.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a management or leadership position.
- Solid background in business development, client acquisition, revenue growth, and project execution.
- Hands-on experience managing exhibitions, trade shows, corporate functions, conferences, and large-scale activations.
- Exposure to tendering, proposal development, contract discussions, and project management.
- A strong professional network across corporate clients, government bodies, event organizers, venues, and relevant industry contacts.
- Demonstrated success in bringing in new business and generating measurable value.
- Strong abilities in commercial thinking, leadership, negotiation, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Previous experience in the GCC region is preferred.
- A valid Qatar driving licence is preferred.
- English and Arabic fluency is mandatory.
