Role Purpose

This position is focused on coordinating logistics, warehouse activity, production planning, and dispatch for the Ambasamudram site. The job supports accurate planning, controlled inventory movement, timely deliveries, and compliant handling of materials through close collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create spinning and twisting plans at the machine level using demand projections and available raw materials.
• Liaise with Manufacturing, QAD, Procurement, and Planning teams to keep schedules aligned and materials ready for use.
• Record receipts for raw materials, IUT, sourced yarn, and finished goods in SAP, ensuring documents are correct and reconciliations are completed.
• Maintain FIFO discipline, clear identification, and organized storage practices in the warehouse.
• Assist with GRS-related paperwork, such as recycled raw material receipts, bills of lading, shipping bills, and Intertek portal uploads.
• Track daily production plans against actual output and help support dispatch commitments.
• Prepare day-wise dispatch schedules, coordinate truck needs, and assist with export and domestic invoicing.
• Lead safety talks, report hazards and near misses, and ensure safe loading/unloading practices and proper use of material-handling equipment.
• Compile monthly reports, including HSN reconciliation, warehouse statements, SLOB reports, MB52 versus HU reconciliation, and EcoVerde data.
• Upload quarterly physical inventory records into SAP and support ISO and GRS audit activities.
• Gather export-related requirements, connect weekly with export planners, and help finalize purchase orders.
• Raise NGIP requests for new item codes and support preparation of master data templates.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA in Logistics or Supply Chain is preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in supply chain or related operations.
• Working knowledge of SAP PP, MM, and SD modules.
• Strong command of Excel along with good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Background in production planning, warehousing, inventory control, and logistics operations.
• Ability to manage pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet demanding deadlines.
• Exposure to ISO, 5S, GOTS, and GRS processes or systems.
• Effective coordination and communication across functions.
• Additional supply chain management qualifications are desirable.
