Job description
Role Summary
This position is based at the Noida Airport Cargo Terminal in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Facility Manager will oversee the day-to-day condition, upkeep, and regulatory adherence of the cargo terminal premises. The role covers building systems, material handling equipment, housekeeping, customer support at the facility level, staff transport arrangements, and coordination with relevant statutory bodies. The objective is to keep operations smooth, safe, and compliant at all times.
Reporting Line
The role reports to the Head of Operations / General Manager – Cargo Terminal.
Operations and Maintenance
- Take ownership of maintenance across the full facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
- Ensure cargo terminal equipment such as handling systems, conveyors, forklifts, and cranes is maintained properly.
- Track and renew annual maintenance contracts on time while ensuring all related compliance requirements are met.
- Plan and carry out preventive inspections to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
Material Handling Equipment
- Monitor the availability and working condition of material handling equipment.
- Work with vendors for repairs, servicing, and supply of spare parts.
- Keep detailed records of equipment usage, failures, and maintenance schedules.
Housekeeping and Facility Services
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Oversee waste disposal practices and ensure environmental compliance.
- Manage support services such as pest control, landscaping, and related facility needs.
Customer and Staff Support
- Help ensure uninterrupted service for customers and other stakeholders using the terminal.
- Coordinate staff transportation so that it remains timely, safe, and efficient.
- Serve as the main facility-level contact for customer questions and concerns.
Statutory and Authority Compliance
- Coordinate with local authorities for approvals, inspections, and certifications related to the building.
- Ensure taxes are paid on time and municipal rules are followed.
- Work with the environment department on sustainability and pollution control measures.
- Maintain fire compliance, including audits, safety checks, and emergency drills.
- Keep complete documentation and records for all statutory obligations.
Safety and Risk Management
- Put safety procedures in place and monitor adherence across the terminal.
- Conduct fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all operations meet occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline. The role calls for 8 to 12 years of experience in facility management, with cargo or logistics terminal exposure preferred.
Skills and Attributes
