The selected candidate will also contribute to the college’s organizational health efforts by helping strengthen leadership, improve clarity and communication, and support a respectful, mission-centered culture built on collaboration, integrity, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach osteopathic medical students in the first and second years of the program.
  • Create board-style exam questions aligned with COMLEX and USMLE formats.

Questions about the role may be directed to Dr. Mir Saleem, Chair of Anatomy.

Requirements

  • A terminal degree such as a PhD, DO, MD, or DSc is expected by the start date, although candidates with a master’s degree from an anatomical sciences program or several years of teaching experience in anatomical sciences may also be considered.
  • Applicants should have experience teaching anatomical science at the undergraduate, graduate, or professional level.
  • A record of scholarly activity or clear potential to develop research in their chosen area is required.
  • A genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and working with students in a collaborative academic environment is important.

Preferred Profile

  • Post-doctoral experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with active learning approaches such as team-based learning, flipped classrooms, problem-based learning, distance learning, interactive large-group teaching, or audience response systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to teach across multiple anatomical science areas, including cell biology, embryology, histology, gross anatomy, and neuroanatomy, is desirable.
  • Comfort with medical imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound is helpful.
  • Prior teaching experience in a medical education setting is preferred.
