About the Company

Qualification Check is an international credential verification specialist that serves universities, regulators, employers, and professional bodies in more than 190 countries.

Role Summary

This position focuses on reviving academic verification cases that have slowed down or gone unanswered by visiting universities in person. The purpose of the role is to find the right contacts, understand what is blocking progress, and move each case toward a definite result such as forward movement, a committed timeline, or final closure. In practice, this role acts as the field-side extension of the verification team and helps convert stalled cases into actionable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit universities in person where verification requests are delayed or receiving no response.
  • Track down and connect with the exact staff members handling each case.
  • Assess and confirm the reasons behind delays, such as missing paperwork, approval bottlenecks, payment-related issues, or internal administrative hold-ups.
  • Push each case toward a clear conclusion, whether that means measurable progress, an agreed timeline, or full completion.
  • Use structured follow-up and escalation methods to remove barriers and obtain action.
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with important university contacts, including registry, records, and faculty office teams.
  • Obtain clear, verifiable commitments for next steps and expected completion dates.
  • Prepare thorough visit reports covering case status, obstacles, actions taken, and next steps.
  • Collect and submit evidence along with relevant contact details for every case.
  • Work with internal teams to prioritize high-value cases and improve the efficiency of field visits.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Strong fluency in both English and French is essential for working with a wide range of institutional stakeholders.
  • Background in field work, verification, compliance, or education administration is preferred.
  • Good communication and persuasive ability, with confidence in guiding discussions toward outcomes.
  • Ability to solve problems by identifying and addressing workflow or process delays.
  • Persistence and resilience when dealing with slow-moving or highly bureaucratic environments.
  • Professional confidence in escalating issues and securing commitments where necessary.
  • Strong relationship-building ability and comfort navigating complex institutional structures.
  • Careful attention to detail and strong reporting discipline for structured, accurate field updates.

Preferred Background

  • Experience with international verification processes is desirable, though not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with African education systems and academic document types is an advantage.

Work Style and Requirements

  • This is an output-focused role assigned according to verification needs and field priorities.
  • Applicants must have a reliable laptop and stable internet connection for remote reporting and coordination.
  • Field travel will be required whenever on-site visits are needed to resolve delayed or inactive verifications.
  • Working hours are flexible and depend on case load, urgency, and travel demands.
  • The role requires independent time management to keep follow-ups, reporting, and case closure on track.
  • Travel will depend on the institutions assigned, with emphasis on planning visits efficiently and executing them well.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation ability.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused communication approach.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
  • Additional certifications in QA, compliance, or verification are considered an added advantage.

Why This Role

  • Opportunity to work with a well-recognized global organization trusted by universities and regulators.
  • Room for growth in verification, operations, and quality-related functions.
  • Flexible working arrangement with international exposure.
  • A collaborative and supportive workplace culture.
