Role overview
This opportunity is for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner who can work directly with operational teams and senior leaders. The role is focused on improving business performance, strengthening decision-making, and turning financial data into practical strategic guidance.
In this position, you will act as a trusted link between finance and the wider organisation, helping stakeholders interpret results, spot opportunities, and stay aligned with business goals.
What you will do
- Work alongside department leaders and senior management to provide financial advice and day-to-day support.
- Prepare clear analysis, reports, and commentary on financial performance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning activities.
- Track KPIs and highlight important patterns, risks, and opportunities.
- Use data-led recommendations to shape and improve business decisions.
- Build financial models and business cases for key strategic projects.
- Help maintain strong financial controls and governance standards.
- Explain financial information in a way that is easy for both finance and non-finance audiences to understand.
Candidate profile
- You should hold a recognised accounting qualification and have around 2 years of post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification).
- Prior experience in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or Management Accounting is expected.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are essential.
- You need excellent communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders.
- The role requires someone who can constructively question assumptions and influence decisions.
- Advanced Excel capability and familiarity with financial reporting systems/tools are important.
- You should be commercially aware and able to turn financial information into actions that improve outcomes.
