Role Summary
As the company scales, Resyca is bringing its finance capabilities in-house. This senior Finance Manager position reports directly to the CEO and carries significant responsibility across both operational finance and strategic support. The successful candidate will own the finance function, work closely with leadership and external partners, and help shape the financial backbone of a growing, innovation-led business.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day finance operation, covering bookkeeping, reporting, and internal controls.
- Produce monthly management accounts, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and broader financial planning activities.
- Provide board-level reporting with clear financial analysis and practical recommendations.
- Manage year-end close, statutory accounts, and audit coordination.
- Strengthen internal controls and maintain sound financial governance practices.
- Work with external accountants, tax specialists, and auditors as needed.
- Support commercial and contractual decisions by supplying financial insight.
- Lead the move from outsourced finance support to an internal finance setup.
- Identify and implement process enhancements and finance system improvements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a finance or accounting degree, or an equivalent qualification, along with strong practical experience in bookkeeping and management accounting. Experience in a small, fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment is important, as is advanced Excel capability and solid financial analysis skills. The role requires someone who can work independently, take full ownership of the finance function, and balance accuracy with commercial awareness. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
Preferred Experience
- Experience shifting accounting operations from an outsourced model to an in-house team.
- Exposure to life sciences, biotech, medical devices, or research-driven businesses.
- Familiarity with project-based and milestone-based accounting.
- Working knowledge of Dutch accounting law and IFRS.
Working Pattern
- This is a part-time position at around 50% capacity.
- Working hours are flexible.
- There is scope to increase hours over time as the business expands and finance demands grow.
- The role is primarily office-based in Munich, with some flexibility for hybrid or remote working potentially available.
