Job description

Role Overview

This position is for a detail-driven Financial Analyst who can help steer planning, forecasting, reporting, and wider business decisions through accurate analysis. The role calls for strong quantitative thinking, careful attention to detail, and the ability to turn complex financial information into practical insights and recommendations.

Core Responsibilities

The analyst will review financial performance, build reports, create dashboards, and support management with data-based analysis. Work in this role involves handling multiple priorities while staying precise, protecting sensitive information, and following financial compliance requirements.

  • Prepare financial reports and dashboard summaries.
  • Study patterns in revenue and expenses to identify key movements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Perform variance analysis and explain differences against plans or prior periods.
  • Track and interpret key performance indicators.
  • Develop financial models when needed.
  • Carry out cost-benefit studies and evaluate investment options.
  • Identify financial risks as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts with data-backed input.
  • Suggest ways to strengthen financial efficiency and profitability.

Required Background and Capabilities

The right candidate should be comfortable using spreadsheets, financial software, reporting tools, and analytical platforms. Experience or familiarity with FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and business performance measurement would be an advantage.

Strong number-crunching and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly, briefly, and in a way that drives action. Professional behavior, flexibility, and effective communication are important, especially when presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role also requires initiative, accountability, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to collaborate well with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Education and Experience

A background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline is preferred. Prior exposure to financial analysis, accounting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, corporate finance, reporting, or business analysis will strengthen an application. Finance, accounting, investment analysis, or financial management certifications are also considered beneficial.

Additional Qualities

  • The ideal candidate is reliable, highly analytical, careful with details, and able to produce financial insights that support better decision-making, operational performance, financial stability, and long-term growth.
