About the role
A rapidly expanding renewable energy platform with a strong European presence is hiring a Financial Analyst to support its growing German operations in Hamburg. The company has recently added more wind and infrastructure assets through acquisitions and is continuing to invest, creating a need for stronger finance support as project activity and portfolio complexity increase.
This is a high-visibility position inside a commercially focused finance team. You will act as the main connection point between the German business and the wider finance group in France, while also working closely with senior leaders and the Managing Director. The role covers financial modelling, investment analysis, and commercial decision support across the full project lifecycle.
The successful hire will help sharpen financial insight, support strategic choices, and contribute to the scaling of the German platform through its next growth phase.
Key responsibilities
- Create, refine, and keep up-to-date detailed financial models for renewable energy projects.
- Run financial simulations, what-if analysis, and investment evaluations.
- Review project economics, returns, and asset-level performance.
- Support valuation exercises and investment decision processes.
- Serve as the central financial contact between the German team and the finance function in France.
- Work with project development teams to provide commercial and financial guidance.
- Assist senior leadership and the Managing Director with strategic finance initiatives.
- Contribute to commercial asset management for operating assets.
- Prepare and present financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Candidate profile
The business is looking for someone with solid finance experience, strong modelling ability, and confidence working across functions and borders. The role suits someone who can operate independently, take ownership of key workstreams, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant finance experience, with some flexibility on seniority.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability.
- Experience building and maintaining complex project or investment models.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Background in financial simulation and scenario planning.
- Ability to assess project economics and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Exposure to project lifecycles from development through operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred background
- Experience in project finance, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
- Previous international or cross-border working experience.
- French language ability.
