Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Dubai for a Fleet Coordinator and Workshop Manager. The role is responsible for planning and running day-to-day fleet activities such as dispatch, route planning, scheduling, and live vehicle tracking so that waste collection and transport are carried out safely and on time. It also includes managing workshop operations for trucks, tankers, and related equipment, with responsibility for preventive maintenance, repair coordination, inspections, and spare parts control. The position calls for close oversight of drivers and workshop technicians, careful monitoring of vehicle condition, accurate recordkeeping, and strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize daily fleet movement, including dispatch plans, route allocation, schedules, and vehicle tracking.
  • Ensure collection and transport activities happen safely, efficiently, and within the required timelines.
  • Supervise workshop operations covering maintenance planning, repair follow-up, inspections, and parts management.
  • Oversee the upkeep of trucks, tankers, and associated equipment to support reliable operations.
  • Lead drivers and workshop technicians, while maintaining discipline, productivity, and accountability.
  • Track vehicle performance and maintain complete and accurate operational records.
  • Apply and enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across fleet and workshop activities.
  • Work with operations and HSE teams to support safe and compliant execution of work.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and vendors as needed.
  • Control fuel, maintenance, and workshop-related expenses and support cost efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on fleet availability, uptime, and workshop performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing fleets and coordinating vehicle routing, scheduling, and tracking in logistics, waste management, or industrial services.
  • Solid workshop management background, including preventive maintenance, repair supervision, spare parts inventory control, and vendor handling.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental rules, with the ability to promote safe work practices and compliance.
  • Comfort using fleet management platforms, maintenance systems, GPS tracking tools, and standard MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing drivers, mechanics, and other technical staff.
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on accuracy, dependability, and operational performance.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills; Arabic or another regional language is considered an advantage.
  • A technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Logistics, or a similar discipline, though equivalent experience can also be considered.
  • Prior exposure to waste management, environmental services, or heavy transport operations in the GCC is highly preferred.
  • Valid UAE driving license or a transferable license appropriate for the role, backed by a strong safety record.

Additional Information

This position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and requires full on-site presence.
