Job description
Overview
This role is for a food preparation team member at a pizza and donair restaurant in Victoria, British Columbia. The position is based at the physical workplace and cannot be done remotely.
Language
English is required.
Education
A college, CEGEP, or similar non-university credential from a program lasting at least 3 months but less than 1 year is required.
Experience
Applicants should bring 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of food usage and quantities
- Prepare take-out orders for customers
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed
- Operate manual and electric tools to clean, peel, slice, and trim ingredients
- Receive deliveries and organize supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Clear kitchen waste and dispose of garbage
- Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables
- Support general food preparation work
- Apply safe food handling practices
Experience and specialization
Preferred food preparation experience includes working with stocks, soups, and sauces. Familiarity with a conventional oven is also part of the role.
