Job description

About Solbasium

Solbasium is a rapidly expanding wellness technology business introducing recovery beds, H-BOT chambers, saunas, cold plunges, PEMF units, and red light therapy devices to the US market. The company is in a strong growth phase, with new product launches and a need to build the operational backbone required for further expansion.

The team works quickly and expects fast decision-making, so this role is best suited to someone who performs well in a high-tempo environment.

Role overview

This position is for a practical, detail-oriented Fractional COO who will take charge of the business’s operational core. It is not a purely strategic role; the work is hands-on and includes fulfillment, vendor coordination, freight logistics, and team accountability.

You will report directly to the founder and act as an important member of the leadership group while the company scales.

Key ownership areas

  • Oversee the full fulfillment workflow, including order handling and delivery to customers
  • Coordinate US 3PL onboarding and manage freight movement from Australia to the US, including LCL sea freight
  • Maintain vendor partnerships and supplier communication
  • Guide the sales team, set expectations, and ensure accountability within a small but high-performing group
  • Support recruitment for freelance and fractional support roles
  • Build and document operational processes and systems
  • Work closely across finance, sales, marketing, and logistics to keep execution aligned

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings senior operations experience, such as prior work as a COO, VP of Operations, or Director of Operations. They should be comfortable splitting attention across multiple priorities and operating in a fractional capacity.

Experience in product-driven businesses, e-commerce, or physical goods logistics is important. The right person will be direct, low-ego, highly productive, and able to hold others accountable without over-managing.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work across teams and with external partners. US-based candidates are strongly preferred, and experience with cross-border operations would be an added advantage. A startup or scale-up background is also valuable, especially if you are used to solving problems without a perfect playbook.

Why this opportunity stands out

  • Opportunity to join at an early stage in a business with significant growth potential
  • Direct collaboration with the founder and quick decision-making cycles
  • Exposure to a fast-growing wellness technology category
  • Flexible fractional engagement with room to grow alongside the company
