Freelance Web Designer

Role overview

Mindrift is hiring a freelance Web Designer for the Tendem project. The work sits within a hybrid AI + human workflow, where AI agents take care of repetitive steps and you bring the design judgment, layout sense, and subject-matter expertise needed to convert briefs and rough drafts into polished, brand-aligned, web-ready assets.

This is a remote, part-time opportunity suited to creative professionals who have practical experience in UI/web design, landing pages, and digital visual communication.

What you will work on

The role is centered on marketing pages, landing experiences, and other conversion-oriented layouts. You will help maintain a consistent, refined visual style across all web materials so they fit smoothly into the wider brand environment.

Responsibilities

• Create effective one-page sites, pitch-style landing pages, and simple marketing websites from written briefs, rough outlines, or existing drafts.
• Turn brand assets and social visuals into responsive page layouts, reusable sections, and clear component structures that developers or no-code tools can implement easily.
• Organize production-ready design files, export assets, and document specifications so handoff is smooth and secure.
• Keep the visual language aligned across web pages, static PDFs, and social content.
• Check each design for responsive behavior, spacing, clarity, and alignment with current web design standards before delivery.

Requirements

• Around 2 or more years of experience in web design, UI design, digital marketing design, or visual communications is preferred.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related creative or technical discipline is an advantage.
• Strong command of Figma, including responsive layouts, auto-layout components, and design systems.
• Experience building conversion-focused landing pages with an emphasis on clarity, spacing, and current design trends.
• Understanding of design handoff practices and how to package assets for developers or no-code platforms such as Webflow and Framer.
• Ability to carry brand aesthetics consistently across web, social, and presentation materials.
• English ability at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
• A structured, user-focused, conversion-minded design approach.
• Excellent visual judgment for white space, clarity, and modern layout patterns.
• Self-driven working style with the ability to solve problems independently and deliver production-ready work quickly.
• A CV that includes a portfolio link featuring web design examples; applications without a portfolio link or without relevant web design samples will not be considered.

Project schedule and compensation

During active project phases, the expected workload is about 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and not a fixed guarantee of hours.

Compensation can go up to the equivalent of $50 per hour, depending on contribution level and pace. Pay varies by project based on scope, complexity, and the expertise needed.
